Hi! I’m Patricia. I make mugs and I paint on them.
My favourite things to make are custom mugs because they can be used everyday and when you gift one, you know there will be a moment, when they are making their cup of tea ahead of a busy day, when they will think of the time you spend together and smile.
My hope is that my pieces can capture all the rare magic that is finding and keeping people to love and that love you in such a big world, the adventures that take place in everyday life when simply spending time together with family and friends.
It all started during my teens when I was invited to decorate a plate and a mug at a Paint Your Own Cafe. I had a what-is-this-sorcery? moment when I saw my shiny glazed plate out of the kiln and thus began an obsession with all things pottery.
Many years later, when I had my first baby and looking at my family made me feel all sorts of wonderful inside, I started decorating all our dinnerware with doodles about our domestic adventures.
After spending a few years as part of a community studio where I was able to learn lots from brilliant pottery artists, my woodcrafter husband built us a beautiful cabin in our garden, where I now make my pottery while our kids are in school.
